Research at Mulakate

Interested in how people find their people?

How do people find their people — and what makes a Mehfil of strangers become a group worth coming back to?

That is the question we are trying to work on in the real world, where people actually meet. If you study people, groups, networks, behaviour, HCI, measurement or something adjacent, we would rather have the work challenged than merely admired.

Talk research Research participation notice

Collaboration and participation are different paths. This page is for professional collaboration.

The question first

Aina comes after the question.

Aina is the part of Mulakate that works on affinity: how signals about a person might help us make better choices about who meets whom, and in what kind of Mehfil.

But matching two people is only one piece. Mulakate also creates a setting where group formation, belonging, Mehfil dynamics, recurrence and the beginnings of community can be observed and questioned.

We are early. The interesting work is not proving a brand story. It is finding out what is true, what is weak, and what should change.

Three ways to engage

Come to scrutinise, study or review.

1

Challenge the work

Question assumptions, measurement choices, causal stories, matching logic or the way we are framing the problem. A useful disagreement is useful research.

2

Study something together

Bring a research question that could be explored responsibly around real Mehfils, group formation, recurrence or social behaviour.

3

Review Aina independently

If independent technical or scientific review is the right next step, we can discuss a scoped review. Qualified reviewers may later be invited into the separate research portal.

Trust boundary

Research collaboration is not a back door into member data.

Professional collaboration does not grant access to private Aina answers. We do not sell member data. Research use must follow the relevant permissions and consent purpose, and member research participation is handled separately from this collaboration path.

What happens next

A human reads it.

We will look for a concrete question, critique or collaboration shape rather than a credential checklist.

The next step fits the work.

A conversation may stay informal, become a scoped study, or lead to independent review. The gated research portal is not the default entry point.
